The parallel and staggered narrative in Wang Tuo's film is the inspiration for the structural design of this book. The separation up and down through the whole book restores a seemingly contradictory narrative structure: Chinese and English words are parallel up and down, and the two still images that the text describes are tiled up and down oppositely on the page. The large-area silver ink printed color block that occasionally disrupts the typesetting rules simulates the narrative fracture and historical memory loss in Wang Tuo's works. The fixed rhythm of the work information of each film is scattered and distributed over three pages, and the unconventional size setting of books offers a quite ceremonial reading experience, which also conjures up the pan-shamanization exploration of historical narration in Wang Tuo's works.
